My reasons for not posting anything new:
If any of you play LaTale: add me! If anyone is interested: add me! My IGN is silly, so don't mind it: ffx2boy. Join my guild, if so: SecksiBeasts. When I say "my guild," I mean it's a RL friend's guild that I'm in.
Some of you may think "that looks just like Maple Story!" while a couple of you same people may also think "Maple Story is better! Look at the number of classes and jobs!" Well, fuck you. I played wasted two-three years on Maple, so I know about when it was actually good.
Reasons why LaTale is better than the current Maple Story:
- On the note about current, LaTale actually makes it a challenge to get to level 200*.
- As most people point out first, it has PvP.
- Another very important factor is that cash-paid items don't expire.
- On the note of cash-paid, the non-equipment items are trade-able.
- Regarding trade-able cash items (astro in this case), less scamming is to be had this way.
- Emotes are more animated. Check the image below.
- Characters don't look like deformed living bobble heads.
- Their Abio Rangers are cool. (Those three aren't actually them. Abio Rangers are NPCs)
- You sit on the ground.
- Overall community is more welcoming. Every game has its douchebaggery, but LaTale is a lot more helpful. Especially in the forums (people help rather than flame you and call you a "noob").
- No one actually quits LaTale. They always come back to at least check up on things, as I have.
- That's it for now.
*People say leveling up from 199>200 with making five to seven new characters and leveling them all to 199 is the equivalent of leveling from 199 to 200. No one is 200 yet, and LaTale's been out for four years or so. It's still challenging and still actually fun.
Look at it. More animated emote! |
I mobbed all dem monsters in duh map, mang. |
I just turned an apology post into an advertisement post, then a hate post. Oh yeah. I'm so cool. I'm that cool. I'm awesomely cool.
Anyways, I'll work on that reviewtonight tomorrow this weekend soon.
Side note: I had a level 9X Hermit and 6X Bandit in Maple. You know, back before this bullshit they call "big bang" and completely nerfing the whole game.
Final note (+reiteration) to anyone interested:
IGN: ffx2boy
Guild: SecksiBeasts
Time: I'm usually only able to play around 8PM-11PM OGP/Pacific (11PM-2AM Eastern). If you'd like to meet in-game, there is an NPC called the Postman, where you can send letters and whatnot. He's in the middle of every town, or at least near the middle. Hard to miss. 'Nuff said.
[12/16/13] EDIT:
I've returned to LaTale after two years! 157 Duelist, 113 Treasure Hunter (currently doing class upgrade), and 35 Wizard. Hit me up!

Hmm, although I've never played Maplestory, though I played RuneScape for 2-4 years on and off after the 2nd year and World of Warcraft for 4-6 months, that game looks interesting to say the least. I feel like I could pass a few hours a day on it, so maybe I'll check it out later when I have the time and if I end up doing so I'll add you.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're considering it!
ReplyDeleteI edited the post to add some information at the end for anyone who might also be interested in playing.
