Wagnaria! (Working!) Inspired Me to Work!

Aoi Yamada
I figured I should share this story to see if anyone else had a similar change of thought, if it may be called such.

I've gotten my first real/legit job. I guess you could say my first manual-labor and/or customer service job? I don't really know how to categorize it, so I'll leave it for later in this post. Why am I so late? I've always tried to avoid work in places that handle food, which pretty much crosses out the majority of jobs available. Coincidentally, if not subconsciously, I gave in and applied to work in a "deli." Stay with me here, as it is relevant. I gave in because I lost my previous source of income of being an office assistant and tutor. Of course, why else do people get jobs? Because they are in a dire "need" (because it's almost always a want, not need) of money, so I ended up here.

Shortly after my training down here, they transferred me to their restaurant to try being a host. It's not odd, since on my application, I had wrote down "any position" and "anytime."

In the short time I've been here at the restaurant, I've quickly started to believe that this is some super awesome coincidence that I landed a decent job with all the cool co-workers. There is no kind of hate between the workers or anything; it's awesome.

Maybe it's just 'cause it is my first job like this, and it isn't an uncommon chance to get a job in an environment like this. I mean, it happened right after I finished season two of Wagnaria! (Working!), the Anime. Not to mention there's also a short girl who works here that is kind of cute like Popura Taneshima in Wagnaria! pictured as a chibi on the left. Though, her personality makes her less adorable sometimes, and more other times. It's weird, but I digress.

Whatever it may be, I'm happy to be here, and I hope to be here for the future to come!
Does anyone else have a story like this? I guess it doesn't really need to be relevant to the Anime, but something simple that inspired you to do something? Who knows?

    1. Thanks! You know, I never submitted the review for Oreimo like I said I would. So I guess I lied. I can post it sometime soon if you still care for a short read. I found that short reviews are easier on both parties, especially with what little time I have now. Ironically, I'm posting more with less time free.
